My favorite memory with Special Olympics Florida was at the Mellow Mushroom in North Carolina! We were there to celebrate a week of amazing skiing competitions, and I remember looking up and seeing all my friends and coaches smiling and laughing. Everyone had their medals and ribbons on, taking selfies, telling stories of flying down the mountain. It was the perfect ending to a perfect trip. Special Olympics Broward has given me so many things! Not only has it given me skills in so many sports, but it’s taught me fitness, healthy eating, social skills, and leadership skills! I’ve made so many friends and had so many amazing experiences!
