William Corsi

Hillsborough County

William Corsi has been involved with Special Olympics Florida for more than 20 years. It’s given him a chance to play sports he loves, has improved his skills, and offered him some pretty amazing opportunities. In 2015, William was one of 10 Florida athletes to complete the Torch Run in California at the Special Olympics World Games.

But if you ask what he likes best about Special Olympics Florida, William comes back to one thing: Meeting people.

Michelle Obama, Mark Wahlberg, Santana – he’s met them all. Not to mention the countless athletes and coaches who have helped him through rough patches and celebrated his triumphs.

“That’s what Special Olympics Florida is all about. I’ve made lifelong friends. I couldn’t have done that without Special Olympics. It excites me and makes me feel proud of myself.”
